Linda Maw Tan, MA, BCBA

As a sibling of individual with developmental disabilities, I understand the unique lifelong journey that families navigate. This personal connection fuels my mission to be an ally to the community by delivering compassionate and collaborative care as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

With a background in Psychology and Education Studies, I bring over a decade of experience supporting individuals with ASD and other related learning disabilities. My career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) began as a Behavior Interventionist (BI) in home-based therapy services. Over the years, I advanced into many leadership roles as ABA Program Supervisor, Clinical Director, and District Behavior Specialist managing Behavior Intervention Services under Special Education Department across various school districts in the Bay Area.

My clinical experiences include working with a wide range of population. From providing early intervention services to preschoolers as young as 3 years old to supporting young adults in their early 20s with vocational job training skills. As a SELPA representative (Special Education Local Plan Area) at CAPTAIN (California Autism Professional Training and Information Network), I conducted professional development trainings for paraprofessionals, educators, and school administrators. In addition, as a certified CPI trainer (Crisis Prevention Institute), I led numerous behavior management trainings to properly recognize, prevent, and manage crisis behaviors using person-centered and trauma-informed responses.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy traveling abroad with my family. I have explored numerous Asian destinations, including Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Hong Kong - with more countries still on my list to check out.
